The Menelaion
 

 
This shrine was built on the hill of Protitis IIias, of the southeast of Sparta, sits in the plain of the River Eurotas. According to the excavations the existence of it dates back to 5th century B.C. and containing votive offerings to Helen, which are on display in the Archaeological Museum of Sparta.
