Museum of Olive Oil is one of the most significant places for producing olive oil in the Greek and Mediterranean identity. It is aim to highlight the culture and technology of the olive and its producing. The museum is located in the center of Laconia, Sparta.
Many works of the art figure of over fifty thousand year old fossilized leaves coming from Santorini are exhibited in the museum. Also the visitors may learn the insight of the evolution of the olive oil production methods from ancient technologies to Byzantium and the preindustrial period.
